Access is great because it has two metropark areas. If you hike a bit, you can be by yourself staring at bald eagles or blue herons. Many fisherman fall in love with the Chagrin and will fish nothing else. It close proximity to the east side of Cleveland makes it one of the most popular steelhead rivers in the state. I consistently catch fish here, but it is not that easy. Since most of the river looks productive, one can waste time fishing areas that do not have any fish. If I get the word that the Chagrin is in prime shape, I will not hesitate to be there early in the morning!
