The Rocky is a urban river with a forest on  both sides. It is the crown jewel to the Metroparks system and is highly accessible to the public. Bike trails, horse riding, nature tours, you name it litters this underrated resource. It is rare to find a place where a deer drinks 100yds from you, while groups of joggers and dog lovers pass by, while horses bay on the trail and to the left a golfer tees of, while a jet passes above. Oh yeah, FISH ON!!!! Many steelheaders don't like to fish it due to high amounts of pressure at the popular spots, but NO ONE WALKS. Most drive up, makes some casts, and move on or stay. You can park your bike downstream, travel upstream, park your car, fish down, and hop on your bike to go back to the truck. Love this place!
